by Laila Ijeoma April 18, 2019, 8:41 am

Lisa Mason husband Gino died. Lisa P Mason announced Gino Contawe obituary on Facebook saying:

There is nothing more disappointing than when a confidence is broken in the midst of anguish and heart-break. And, broken by a person believed to be a trusted friend.

At a later time, I will share the story of my beloved husband’s final moments.
For now, God bless you and thank you for your understanding.

How Lisa Mason husband Gino died: Gino Contawe obituary

How Lisa Mason husband Gino died – Gino Contawe had suffered esophageal cancer back in 2015.

Four and half years after Gino Contawe cancer diagnosis, in February 2019, Gino appreciated his wife Lisa in a warm, sweet Facebook post that read:

“I would like to give my beloved an anniversary shout out! It has been 4 1/2 years since the cancer diagnosis. Thank you for helping to keep me alive.

You have been the best wife, advocate and supporter that a man could ask for. Through four miracles, multiple surgeries and a list of treatments you never wavered. You are one in a million.

I love you more than any man could love a woman. Thank you!”

Lisa had announced Gino Contawe’s cancer diagnosis back in 2015 as sudden and shocking stage four esophageal cancer with spread to the lymph nodes, lungs and brain.

She wrote on several posts on Facebook:

“7 months ago, Doctors suggested that Gino and I get our affairs in order. A sudden and shocking stage four esophageal cancer with spread to the lymph nodes, lungs and brain was my husband’s diagnosis.

We heeded their words of wisdom. Signing and initialing multiple documents in our attorney’s office. He initialed “GC” (Gino Contawe). I initialed ” LM” (Lisa Mason).

Dark, dark days followed with multiple surgeries, radiation, chemo.

Today, we learned that Gino has no cancer in… the brain, practically nothing in the lungs and the esophageal tumor has shrunk so much that it can’t be seen on a scan.

What does it mean? Is he cured? Permanent remission? We don’t know for sure….we live day by day…..but today I decided that the initials “GC” and “LM” no longer stand for our names. “GCLM” to me now means: “God’s Compassion+Love=Miracles”! Life is a blessing. And a gift. We are grateful. Thank you for prayers. We humbly thank you. God Bless You.

In another earlier post she wrote about Gino:

“My friends. What an extraordinary week. After learning that esophageal cancer is the number one fastest growing cancer in the US, Gino and I got to work!

We meet with the board of the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association this month to help all we can.
Please, please understand. There are often NO symptoms. This cancer is found in people who have smoked or drank heavily.

Or, in Gino’s case, had acid reflux years ago. Gino took the medication for acid reflux and the heartburn “went away”.

In actuality, it didn’t. He just couldn’t feel it any longer.

Little did we know, heartburn can exist with absolutely no discomfort. We beg you. If you have been a heavy smokey or drinker. If you have had acid reflux in the past, please see you doctor.

By the time the first symptoms presents…(difficulty swallowing, hiccuping during meals, food feeling “stuck” in the throat, needing more liquids during meals)…the cancer has already advanced.

We love you. We greatly care for you. We do not want you to travel our road. We ask you to think about this. Gino and I stand committed to help others know more about this horrible cancer. God Bless You. ”

Lisa Mason Heads Back to QVC

Former QVC host Lisa Mason has flitted back and forth several home shopping networks since leaving the Q a few years back.

She did a jewelry line for JTV. She repped a product, a tooth whitener, as we recall, for QVC.

Now she’s apparently heading back to QVC.

Mason posted on Facebook that as Dorothy said in “The Wizard of Oz,” there’s no place like home. She said she will be on QVC next Tuesday for “Big Bonanza,” which we assume is the channel’s big silver sale.

In her post Mason mentioned that her wedding ring will be back at the same price it was during her last QVC show, which was in 2010. We remember that item, a floral style ring.

When Mason left QVC her beloved husband Gino had cancer, and he has since passed away. It will be good to see her.

Finally they’ll have a eloquent host who doesn’t need Ritalin!! She was a pleasure to watch, and after watching Shawn all hyped up, and Courtney constantly worming her way into someone else’s presentations, and being an loud mouth, and Jane T acting like an infant, it will be a relief to have a woman like her back. I know she’s suffered with Gino, so sad what she’s gone through, and so publically. I wish her the best.

Lisa was a favorite of mine. So glad she wll be back!

Looks to me that she’s coming back as an on-air-presenter/vendor, not as a host.

Q already has more hosts than they know what to do with.

YUCK, fake as they come. Her religious crap drives me nuts, a lot of good it did for your beloved….god bless

Linda, that is really awful to say.. really, you should keep such remarks to yourself. She loved him so much..It is life.. to lose those we love.. why criticize her for her faith? Not your job.

Harsh much?
God bless you as well.

Wow, usually with someone who shows that much ignorance I would have something to say, but honey, you win the Oscar.

Soooooooooooooo is she going to get all her seniority back? Publicly ripping your bosses seemed to work for our jammin Jane Treacy. Well, having Kathy Levine share the blackmail photos helps too. Soo tired of hearing how many years has been there.

@j,,What the hell are you talking about? Blackmail photos. Jane ripping bosses? Why such hate, sheesh.

Linda you are a nasty nasty bitchy person! Somebody hit you with the ugly stick.
