The Powerball jackpot stands at $112 million for the winning ticket on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The one-time cash payout for tonight’s Powerball drawing will be $75.4 million.

The winning Powerball numbers are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results usually posted within five minutes.

In most states, ticket sales halt at least one hour before the drawing, but a state is allowed to end sales earlier, such as Illinois, which stops sales three hours before the drawing. In Maryland and New Jersey, ticket sales end at 9:59 p.m.; in Virginia, they close at 10 p.m. Check with your state lottery for the cut-off time.

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, August 7, are: 08, 32, 47, 53, 59 and the Powerball of 03.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $1.586 billion, which was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016.

A player in South Carolina claimed the $1.6 billion Mega Millions jackpot on Oct. 23, 2018, game officials said; the winner chose not to be identified.

To win the Powerball jackpot a player must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are one in 292,201,338, which doesn’t change even if more players buy tickets when the jackpot is huge.

You have a better chance of winning the Powerball jackpot if you let the computer select your numbers, according to the officials with the lottery. About 75 percent of winning tickets over the years had numbers picked by a computer.

Powerball Results, Numbers for 8/07/19: Did Anyone Win the $133 Million Jackpot on Wednesday (Last) Night?

The Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night stood at $133.3 million. But did anyone take home the big prize?

According to the Powerball website, the winning numbers for August 7 were 8-32-47-53-59. The Power Ball was 3 with a Power Play of X3.

However, there were no winners of the jackpot this time. One winner from Georgia matched five numbers with the Power Play, taking home $2 million. One winner from Tennessee matched five numbers taking home $1 million.

The last jackpot was won on July 13, 2019, by a single ticket in Tennessee. The jackpot was an estimated $198 million at the time of the drawing with a cash option of $128.1 million. The winning numbers were white balls 13, 23, 32, 35, 68, plus Powerball 21, and Power Play multiplier 3X.

This was the third time the Powerball jackpot had been won this year, according to its website. The Powerball jackpot was previously won in Wisconsin ($768.4 million) in the March 27 drawing and North Carolina ($344.6 million) in the June 1 drawing.

Two tickets, sold in California and North Carolina, matched all five white balls but missed matching the red Powerball in the Saturday’s drawing to win a $1 million prize. In total, there were more than 670,000 winning tickets across all prize tiers.

How do you play Powerball?

Powerball draws, which are broadcast live from the lottery studio in Tallahassee, Florida, take place on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 10:59 p.m. EDT, meaning there are just three days to go until the next one.

The jackpot now stands at $128 million with a cash option of $86.1million. The next Powerball draw is on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Powerball is one of the most widely played lottery games in the country, with tickets sold in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to its website.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. In the game, players select five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Furthermore, players can multiply any non-jackpot prizes using the Power Play option for an additional $1 per go in certain circumstances.

According to Powerball, the odds of winning a prize are the same in every Powerball drawing. The website states that a player has 1 in 24.9 chance of winning a prize when the jackpot is $40 million, and it doesn’t change if the jackpot is $1 billion.

It is also not based on the number of tickets sold; even if there are more tickets sold in a particular drawing, odds of winning a prize remain the same.

When it comes to PowerPlay, the website states that for an additional $1 per play, non-jackpot prizes can be multiplied 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X. The multiplier number is randomly chosen before each number draw. The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less.

There were no jackpot winners and someone matched five numbers with the Power Play which meant winning $2 million. ]]>
