Mega Millions lottery: Did you win Tuesday’s $145M Mega Millions drawing? Live results, winning numbers (04/14/2020)
The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has increased to $145 million with a cash option of $115.2 million.
The winning numbers were: 29, 47, 65, 69 and 70. The Mega Ball drawn was 7 with a Megaplier of 4X.
No one across the country hit Friday’s $136 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold. In New Jersey, 10 tickets were bought that matched four numbers. Eight are worth $500 apiece while two are valued at $1,000 because the buyers spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option, lottery officials said.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 2, 11, 21, 57, 60. The Mega Ball drawn was 13 with a Megaplier of 2X.
It’s been more than two months since a $202 million jackpot winning ticket was bought at Quick Stop on Inman Avenue in Edison for the Feb. 11 drawing. The winner has yet to step forward and will have the option of remaining anonymous thanks to a new law passed in New Jersey earlier this year.
There have been two large multi-state jackpots won in Middlesex County this year. On April 8, someone who bought a Powerball ticket at Buy-Rite Liquors on Stelton Road in neighboring Piscataway won a $190 million jackpot.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. The odds of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The New Jersey Lottery office will be closed until at least April 17 and won’t be accepting walk-in claims. You can still claim your winnings — provided they’re less than $599.50 — in person at any retailer.
The lottery is also accepting mailed claims, though officials warn payments may be “temporarily delayed.” Winners are advised to make copies of the claim form and the winning ticket for their records.
The date for all claims set to expire between March 19, 2020, and April 17, 2020 will now be extended for an additional 30 days from the date of expiration. For example, a winning ticket that was purchased on March 31, 2019 would normally expire within one year from the date of purchase on March 31, 2020. Due to the extension, the claim in this example will not expire until April 30, 2020.Mega Millions lottery: Did you win Tuesday’s $145M Mega Millions drawing?
