How do I log in to my account?

This article covers how to log into your account via the Lott Website and the Lott App for iOS and Android as well as advice on what to do if you’re having trouble logging in.

Logging into the Lott Website

Step 1: Visit the Lott Website

From any page of thelott.com, tap on the word ‘Login’ in the top right hand corner of your screen, appearing between the ‘SIGN UP’ and Shopping Cart buttons.

Tapping this will launch the Login modal which will appear in the middle of your screen.

Step 2: Enter your Username and Password

Enter the Username and Password for your account in the boxes provided. Once you have entered your Username and Password, tap the ‘Login’ button to continue:

If you are successful in logging into your account you will be able to see your Account Balance at the top of the screen and also be able to access the Account Menu:

Having issues logging into your account?

Check that your Username and Password is correct

If your Username and/or Password is incorrect, you will receive an error and will not be logged into your account. Review the details you entered and try again. When entering your Password you can tap the ‘Show’ button to check that your Password is correct before trying to log in.

To protect the personal and financial information within your account, you will have five (5) attempts to log in until your account is locked. Once locked you can complete the Reset Password process to create a new Password and regain access to your account.

Can’t remember your Username and Password?

Is your account suspended?

It is also possible that your account has been suspended (for example due to too many incorrect attempts to login, or a self-imposed exclusion on playing online). For more information and help on what to do if your account is suspended visit our article ‘ Why is my account suspended? ‘

Logging into the Lott App

Step 1: Open the Lott App for iOS or Android

Open or download the Lott App on your device. On the Home Screen, tap the Join/Login icon located in the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Note: The example shown above is for customers playing in Queensland showing lottery games available in Queensland, however the Join/Login icon is consistent across all of our jurisdictions.

Step 2: Enter your Username and Password

Enter the Username and Password for your account in the boxes provided. Once you have entered your Username and Password, tap the ‘Login’ button to continue.

If you are successful in logging into your account, you will be able to see your Account Balance at the bottom of the screen and also be able to access the Account Menu by tapping the Account icon.

The App will also store your Username for you, meaning you will only need to enter your Password each time you log in.

Enabling Touch ID and Face ID (iOS) or Fingerprint Login (Android)

Depending on your device, you can enable Touch ID or Face ID to log into the Lott App as an alternative way to log into your account.

When entering your Password you can tap the ‘eye’ icon shown next to the Password field to check that your Password is correct before trying to log in.

It looks like you’re outside the UK and Isle of Man

So unfortunately you will not be able to access your account at the moment.

To play UK National Lottery games online, you must be a resident of the UK or Isle of Man at all times. You must also be physically located in the UK or Isle of Man when buying a ticket or when setting up or amending a Direct Debit account.

What can I do?

I’m located in the UK / Isle of Man. Why am I being blocked and how can I fix this?

Our location software recognises Internet Protocol addresses (IP addresses) that are used by UK-based Internet Service Providers (ISPs). If your ISP has not registered your IP address as being situated in the UK or Isle of Man, we must assume that you are located outside this region.

Please contact your ISP and ask them to update the registration of your IP address (it may take a few weeks for the changes to take effect).

This issue could also be caused by the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) by yourself or other members of your household.

You may also experience problems accessing your account if you are using a device at work which routes its internet traffic through servers based outside of the UK or Isle of Man.

How can I make changes to my account when I’m outside the UK / Isle of Man?

Can I be entered into draws while I’m abroad?

You cannot buy tickets while you’re abroad, however, if you’d like to be in the game while you’re away in future, you can buy tickets several weeks in advance using our online play slips. Please make sure you do this while you’re still in the UK or Isle of Man.

Alternatively, why not play National Lottery games by Direct Debit? As long as you set this up or make changes while you’re physically located in the UK or Isle of Man, your tickets will be valid if you travel overseas.
