Gender/Age: Female, 4years
Breed: Boxer x
Flo is a sweet girl who has very clearly had a traumatic experience some time in her life. She loves attention and a fuss while showing off her tricks for a treat, however the minute she sees a lead she will freak out and start ragging the lead, not taking any attention of people. She will need a experienced owner who is very patient who can work with her to get her use to wearing and walking on the lead. She loves to play and goes crazy for every toy she has especially bouncy balls. It seems that Flo is deaf as she doesn’t respond to any noises or her name. She is sadly not good with dogs. Flo would need a a adult only experienced home with someone who can show her love and trust.
Gender/Age: Male 1yr
Tyga is a powerful boy but he is a big baby at heart who wants to be with someone all the time. He is very strong on the lead so needs further training when out walking. He loves to have a cuddle and wants to you hold his paw for attention especially when he is feeling sad. Tyga isn’t copying very well in kennels as he not used to them so is desperate for a new home. He doesn’t realise his own strength and still thinks he is little so he will jump all over you but he doesn’t mean it. He enjoys long walks, playing fetch and jumping in puddles. Tyga also hates being cold and enjoys having warm baths. He dislikes cats, being on his own and mops/hoovers. He can be very vocal when left but when he is with you he also likes taking to you. If you have a space in your heart for this big boy please give us a call.
Breed: Min Pin
Ralph is a lovely affectionate boy . He loves to cuddle up on the sofa and loves a fuss. He loves to play ball and loves his toys! In the home he is like a big puppy and will follow you everywhere once he knows you. Ralph has fear based aggression when it comes to meeting people he doesn’t know or new environments. This causes him to become very vocal and snap when he is scared. He will need a very experienced one to one, adult only home, with someone with the time and dedication that he deserves!
Gender/Age: Male 2-3yrs
Colour: Tri colour
Max was rescued from Wales and he came into us very underweight. He is slowly putting on the weight and starting to feel a lot better. Max is very powerful on the lead and will need further training classes to help him to stop pulling. He needs more socialising with other dogs as he can be reactive on lead. He loves a fuss and goes mad when he gets a chance to ball fetch. Max does get food possessive due to him being starved so will need a strict adult home and a lovely caring owner.
Manny and Bimbi
Gender/Age: male and female, 3yrs & 2.5yrs
Colour: Tan and Black
Location: New Romney
Manny and Bimbi are a pair of very sweet but incredibly nervous little dogs. They must be homed together and we are looking for someone who has previous experience with nervous and anxious dogs. They are very energetic and love to play and run but are very wary of having a harness/collar on and walking on a lead so would be better suited to someone with a very big garden or bit of land where they can run securely while they have ongoing lead training. Manny and Bimbi are also very reactive and very very vocal when they meet new people (especially Manny) so would benefit from further socialisation around new people. Once they know you they are very loving, although Manny still shows very nervous and skittish behaviour and isn’t comfortable with being touched. We are looking for a quiet adult only home with someone around most of the day, they have previously lived with cats so may be fine to do so again but they will be better suited to being the only dogs in the home, especially given the fact that they will need lots of one to one training to help with their anxiety issues. Anyone interested in adopting this sweet pair will need to make several visits to the centre over a period of time to build up their trust and establish a relationship with them before they will be ready for adoption. If you would like to know more or are interested in meeting them please call the New Romney centre on 01797 366620.
Gender/Age: male, 2-3years
Breed: German shepherd cross
Spruce is a very lively boy who can be strong on the lead if he gets a scent or sees another dog. Spruce needs an active home with an owner who’s able to give him plenty of walks and the stimulation that he needs. He would benefit from socialising classes and more socialising with other dogs. Spruce is a big playful boy who loves a cuddle and lots of tennis balls.
Gender/Age: female 10-11years
Breed: Jack Russell
Colour: Tri colour
Clarisse has come back to us as her owner has sadly passed away. She is looking for an experienced owner as she can become very possessive of her toys and bed. Once she knows you she is very friendly but only wants fuss on her own terms. Clarisse is ball obsessed and loves to play fletch, she really enjoys going out for her walks so needs an active home. Clarisse is good with little dogs but could do with more socialising.
Gender/Age: male, 2yrs
Colour: White & Grey
Gentle giant Ollie is a shy boy and it takes him a while to come out his shell but once he does he’s super lovely and adores a fuss. He loves his food especially some tasty treats. He also enjoys going out for long walks, so looking for an active home, we do advise to muzzle Ollie in public due to being an ex racer. He’s never lived in a home before so he’s craving for a normal family life.
Gender/Age: male, 6years
Breed: Jack Russell
Colour: tan and white
Cobi is a very happy dog when he feels safe, but when he feels scared or frightened he will lash out and will bite if given the chance. So is best left alone when he goes into his scared state, this usually occurs when he hears loud bangs. When he knows you he can be very affectionate and loves to sit on your head looking out the window. We are looking for a very understanding one-person adult home for Cobi with no children visiting please and no other pets. Cobi would need to go to someone who has experience dealing with JRT as Cobi needs a special person who can give him the time and patience he requires. Please call to find out more information about this little character.
Gender/Age: Male 10years
Breed: Scottie/Carne X
Danny Boy is a lovely boy once he knows you, he has to have a female owner on a one to one basis, this is all due to him being mistreated. Unfortunately this poor sad little lad, through no fault of his own was kicked and abused in his previous home, living day after day in constant fear, hiding and cowling away from his owner.
This is a very sad case due Danny Boy’s previous male owner who was sadly suffering with-Alzheimers and didn’t realise what he was inflicting on his once best friend.
Please therefore understand why our darling sad, confused, untrustworthy, frightened little Danny boy can be unpredictable towards men, and is quite nervous when first meeting you and needs to settle in slowly. Is there someone out there that can reassure him, give back the love he once knew, to enable him to trust that once again, like the song above will there ever be any pipes a calling for our Danny Boy. Or does he have to continue to hope, dream, wish for someone to call his name.
Look into those eyes, see his pain, reach out to him, give him a chance, give him time to trust you, give him back his life, give him the confidence, patience and love that he needs, LOVE that we all need. I know the right person is out there, make our Danny Boy’s wish come true, a loving home this Christmas, that day and every other one there on, FIND HIM A HOME PLEASE.
MORE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR BOY For those of you that feel you can give our little lad the right home, you would have to visit him on a regular basis, over weeks, even maybe months for him to get used to you and to start to trust you, so this is something that must be considered.
Danny is ideally looking for a quiet home, with a female that does not have regular visitors, with NO CHILDREN, MEN OR OTHER PETS. Danny needs to be his on boss, not be confronted by things or over stimulated or trying to teach him. Danny I would say at the moment, but who knows in the future, is currently not a companion pet, and would not understand or want loads of cuddles or fuss. Like I say he might be the most adorable companion, but this would take time.
Consideration must be taken when out with Danny, due to his fear of people, especially men, you would need to keep a distance from people and dogs whilst walking our Danny boy.
For more information on Danny please call our staff at the Edenbridge rescue 01732 865530
Gender/Age: Male 6yrs

Buster is a cheeky chappy who is looking for a loving patient home to call his own. He was originally found as a stray so we don’t have much past history on him but it is possible he was mistreated as he is wary of strangers and absolutely terrified of loud noises. He isn’t very keen on going for walks which tend to make him quite stressed but he simply LOVES chasing tennis balls so he would be better suited to someone with a large garden or bit of land where he can safely explore and play. Buster can sometimes exhibit compulsive behaviour as a stress response i.e circling if he is frightened but we have been working with him at the centre and have found he can be distracted by a treat or squeaky ball. Buster is a high energy dog and finds kennel life quite stressful so we would love to see him in a home, preferably in a one to one situation with someone who is experienced with the breed. Buster can be good with other dogs but will chase cats and he will need an adult only home. Once he knows and trusts you he is a very loving and loyal boy who just needs someone to give him a chance. Please call the New Romney branch on 01797 366620 for more information about this lovely lad.
Gender/Age: Male 8yrs

Monty is a such a handsome young man who would love to go to a nice new home. Monty loves to be around people and is really quite affectionate. However, similar to so many rescue dogs we collect as strays Monty was obviously never socialised as a pup and so he is dog aggressive. This is something that could maybe change over time with the correct training classes and devotion. We really would like to see Monty go out to an adult home with no other animals.
Here is what the staff have to say:
Monty has come from a bad past. He has a hunched back where the vets think he was kept in a crate that was too small for him for a long period of time. Because of this he does have bad trust issues so would need someone who can help show monty that not everyone is bad. Monty is not good with any animals and will bark and pull to them. Unfortunately he gets so frustrated that he hits your leg when wanting to get to other dogs. So he is to be muzzled when out in public. He is improving very quickly when out on the lead now. He can calmly walk with a dog in sight and not bark or hit your leg. He would never be able to meet dogs but would love a home with someone who can keep up his training and continue the work with him. In the home he is very cuddly and affectionate but has to be on his terms. He would love a big bed to stretch out on as he loves to sleep! Playing chase in a enclosed area with a ball or fluffy toy is his heaven! Carrie x

Please read my write up very carefully as I am looking for a very experienced special adult only home. First of all, I am ENERGETIC! Not just ‘likes a walk energetic’ but ‘wants to be on the go all day, every day’ energetic! If I don’t have a really good run I can get frustrated and cranky and unfortunately can take it out on whoever is nearest to me. Secondly, I have no recall, none whatsoever! You may call me but I have far too many sniffs to explore or things to chase to take any notice so I will need a really secure area where I can run and run and then run some more! I have a very loving cheeky side but I need routine, structure, exercise and an experienced person who knows how to deal with me. I can be ok with other dogs but am very full on and dominant so would be better as the only pet in the home. I can get protective of some toys or bones so need someone who has dealt with this kind of behaviour before and because I have places to go and things to do I am very, very strong on the lead so will need someone who can handle me. As you can see Forest is quite the character but comes with some challenging behaviour that will require a lot of hard work, time, patience and experience. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with challenging dogs and ideally someone who has a large secure bit of land where Forest will be able to run and burn off his energy. If you think you could offer Forest the right home please contact New Romney on 01797 366620 for more detailed information.

Bo is a very lively and energetic young boy who is looking for an adult only home. Bo was mistreated in the past which has made him wary and nervous of strangers which can often result in him reacting aggressively so he MUST go to a home that has previous experience of unpredictable dogs who can be aggressive and snappy and who will be able to give him lots of time and space to settle at his own pace. Any potential adopter must be prepared to make several visits to the centre to gain Bo’s trust. Bo likes to be on the go all day so will need an active home where he can burn off lots of energy. He can be good with other dogs but can be quite dominant, especially over food and toys so may be better suited as the only animal in the home and he also has a high prey drive so will chase cats. If you are an experienced, understanding, patient person who thinks they can provide this little lad with the right home please call New Romney for a chat on 01797 366620.

Bodin is a lovely big boy with a big character and like a typical Malamute he loves the sound of his own voice. He loves company and a fuss but very much on his own terms. He loves to lay in the sun and run through water to cool himself down. Bodin needs a very experienced adult only home with knowledge of the breed and with limited visitors as he needs very slow introduction to new people. Bodin is good with dogs on the lead but can be dominant off lead so needs to be the only pet in the home. Bodin would make a fantastic companion to someone who has the patience and understanding of his specific needs. Please contact us for more details.

Tito is a very energetic, loving boy who is looking for his forever home where he can be given time and space to settle at his own pace. Tito has had a difficult start in life after being found as a stray and it’s possible he was mistreated at some point as he can be very reactive around fast movements which tend to startle him easily. He is good with other dogs, although can be quite jealous if they get the attention rather than him so would be better suited as the only animal living in an adult only home. We are ideally looking for someone with experience of lurchers and who has time to help Tito feel safe and settled in his new home, preferably one person on their own as he doesn’t like to share his human! Tito really is such a loving boy who just needs a calm owner to help him feel safe and loved, if you are interested or would like more information on this handsome boy please call the New Romney centre to talk to a member of staff.

Gucci is a very independent strong willed lady, who is very affectionate once she trusts you but this is on her own terms. She needs someone who is able to visit her regularly before she goes home so she can accept you in her own time and learn to trust you. Once she trusts you she is very friendly and will seek affection, ear tickles are her favourite! She loves wondering around and going for walks, but must be kept on lead as she has no recall and will just do whatever she pleases. She is good with other dogs, but is very dominant and so if living with another dog, they must be submissive or accepting of her. We are looking for a quiet, adult only home where she can enjoy the rest of her retirement. Gucci does have Cushing’s disease and so we at Last Chance are managing this, but she will need regular check ups to ensure she is doing well. We are happy to get her fostered or adopted, so if interested please do ring us on 01797 366620 to discuss.

Alfie is a very lively lad, who can be a little unpredictable. He is full of life and needs lots of exercise and would probably be best homed to someone who has experience of the breed. Alfie is good with other dogs but needs a calm home so we are suggesting no children. Read more about Alfie by clicking on ‘Home2home’ above tool bar.

Looking for a dog
So, you’re looking for a new canine companion? We can help!
If you’re wondering why you can’t see more dogs on our website, that’s because they’re incredibly popular. In fact, over 10,000 people register their interest in a pooch every month! To help our teams manage this demand, we only show a small selection online. These are dogs who are looking for very specific homes that meet their needs.
Whilst the current situation means that we can’t allow general visits to our centres, our staff are still working hard to respond to rehoming enquiries and to rehome our pets following Government approved guidelines regarding social distancing. If our team finds an animal that matches the details you supply on your registration form, someone will be in touch with you to discuss next steps.
If we do have a dog that could be right for you, we will be in touch. And if not, we can offer plenty of advice on where else to look.
