florida pick 2 payout

Pick 2

Pick 2 is a draw game from the Florida Lottery game with a top prize of $50 and drawings twice a day. There are a variety of play styles so you can find your favorite: Straight, Box, Straight/Box, 1-OFF, Front Number or Back Number.

Pick 2 has two chances to win every day, seven days a week. The midday draw is held at 1:30 PM ET, and the evening draw takes place at 9:45 PM ET. You can purchase tickets for the next draw up to 13 minutes prior – so get your tickets by 1:17 PM ET for the next midday draw, and 9:32 PM ET for the evening draw.

How to Play

Get started by picking your favorite number from 0 through 9 for each column of your playslip, so you have a total of two digits. You can also mark the “QP” box and Quick Pick will randomly generate some or all of your numbers.

To play Front Number, choose your number from the first column only. For Back Number, select the number from the last column only.

There are a number of play types – choose from Straight, Box, Straight/Box, 1-OFF, Front Number or Back Number.

You can play for 50 cents or $1 (all Straight/Box and 1-OFF plays are $1).

Choose the draw time: MID for the midday draw at 1:30 PM ET, EVE for the evening draw at 9:45 PM ET, or BOTH for both draws. If no draw time is selected, you’ll receive a ticket for the next available draw. If you select BOTH, the terminal will print two separate tickets, one for midday and one for evening.

With Advance Play, you can play your lucky numbers and favorite play types and draw times for up to 14 consecutive days – just add the number in the “Days” area of the playslip.

How much can you win playing Pick 2? Here are the top prizes you could win for each play type:

  • $1 Straight play: win $50
  • 50 cent Straight play: win $25
  • $1 Box play: win $25
  • 50 cent Box play: win $12.50
  • $1 Straight/Box play: win $37.50
  • $1 1-OFF play: win $5
  • $1 Front Number/Back Number play: $5
  • 50 cent Front Number/Back Number play: $2.50

Add 1-OFF to Increase Your Chances of Winning

With 1-OFF, you can still win if you’re nearly right! Even if you miss the winning number by one, you can still win a cash prize, giving you eight extra chances to win!

To play 1-OFF, simply fill in your Pick 2 playslip as you normally would, and mark the 1-OFF box. You will receive a ticket that has your Pick 2 two-digit number, plus the 1-OFF numbers that are one higher or lower. A 1-OFF play costs $1.

During the Pick 2 drawing, two numbers are drawn at random. If your 1-OFF two-digit number is a Straight (exact) match for the winning numbers, you win $25!

You can also win a $3 prize if any of your 1-OFF numbers matches the Pick 2 numbers drawn.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike the Lottery’s other Draw games, which are pari-mutuel in design (that is, players are vying for a portion of what is in the prize pool), PICK 2, PICK 3, PICK 4, and PICK 5 offer set prize payouts. Therefore, the Lottery has established a $1 million liability limit for PICK 2 for any particular two-digit number for each drawing. Should any two digit combination (for example 77) be purchased often enough in a single drawing that would result in the liability limit being exceeded, the Lottery will “cut off” further sales of that specific number combination. In addition, no Front Number or Back Number that involves the first or last digit, respectively, of the two-digit number will be allowed for that drawing. Players that have already played those numbers will still win the full amount of the set prize even if the liability limit has been met. For more details on this issue, please refer to the Pick 2 game rule, section (1)(g).
