Palatial NYC Townhouse where Lady Gaga Once Lived Listed for $18 Million

Where the Meatpacking District meets Chelsea, a discreet six-story townhouse draped in other-worldly design elements has just hit the market for $17,999,000. The 11,000-square-foot abode listed by Ryan Serhant and Nicole Palermo of Nest Seekers International was formerly rented by international superstar Lady Gaga. With a private curb-cut garage, 13-foot ceilings, an elevator servicing all six floors and a 2,000-square-foot rooftop deck, Mother Monster surely luxuriated in the comforts of 357 West 17th Street.

Enter from the street to a marble-clad gallery room with soaring ceilings. On your left, a giant picture window displays your vehicle like a work-of-art and through a darkroom door, this level also houses a private big-screen theater room. Below ground, an independently temperature-controlled wine cellar holds 480 bottles. The cellar also houses a sauna, gym, yoga room and in-ground pool with a wave-propelling system to swim against the current.

On the second floor, step off the elevator to a showpiece powder room featuring a faucet that extends from the ceiling. In the living room, the 13-foot ceilings are adorned with Venetian plaster, as is the stunning custom DaVinci fireplace. Beyond is an incredible chef’s kitchen with two expansive waterfall islands topped with Saint Laurent black marble. Swarovski crystal details are embedded into the cabinetry, as well as the pulls on both refrigerators. The kitchen also highlights an enormous pantry, two sinks, dual wall-mount ovens and Miele and Gaggenau appliances.

This floor also extends out to a private, enclosed dining terrace surrounded by greenery with an outdoor grill and paneled walls. Above, a formal dining room presides over a double-height opening above the kitchen. Hanging down through the glass-enclosed opening is an awe-inspiring starlight chandelier. The third floor also highlights a wet bar with concealed sink.

The entire fourth floor is dedicated to a scopic master suite with his and hers bathrooms, plus an additional powder room. Two sitting rooms and custom closets are also encompassed on this level. Double doors lead into the master bathroom, entering to a custom mosaic tile art wall with his and hers spaces on either side. Giant black marble showers showcase oversized rainfall showerheads with six power jets, while the enormous circular tub overlooks West 17th Street.

The top floor is a private 2,000 square-foot rooftop deck encircled by greenery and accessed by the private elevator.
